Q: Why would I want to tint my home or office?
A: Several reasons. The film we use is more efficient than any glass can be when it comes to solar heat reduction and ultra-violet protection. The films can also give a home or office a more consistent appearance from outside. Window films also help reduce glare on televisions and computer screens, and make your home or office more efficient year round by keeping the heat in during the winter and out during the summer.
Q: How do you price residential/commercial tinting?
A: The pricing is based on the square footage of the job, the type of film used and the size and location of the windows. (skylights and hard to get to windows cost more accordingly). We do free onsite estimates.
Q: Is there a difference in residential/commercial films versus automotive films?
A: Yes! Residential/commercial films are made to last and withstand a different set of conditions and needs. The residential/commercial films we use have a different adhesive system that allows us to put a lifetime guarantee on most of our residential films. These films are also made to be efficient without being as dark as automotive films.
Q: If I tint my home will it make it dark?
A: Most of the residential films we use are almost unnoticeable when installed in your home, but you get the benefit of 99% ultra-violet protection along with up to 73% solar heat reduction.
Q: Will tinting my home give me privacy?
A: Yes and No. Any time you tint a piece of glass it will make it harder to see in from the outside, even if it is a light tint from the inside. We also have privacy tints that are mirrored that give you a great deal of privacy in your home or office during the day. However as dusk falls and the light outside becomes darker than the interior of the house it reverses the effect and makes the windows reflective to the inside. Therefore it is possible for people to see into your home or office at night. The best example of this is any downtown area. If you drive downtown during the day and look at all the office buildings you usually can not see in, but if you drive downtown at night you can see who is working and who is not.
